in an effort to keep my illustration skills from stagnating, i chose to undertake a month-long art challenge known as birdtober. every day is assigned a new bird species, with the goal of creating a unique illustration every day.

as an avid birdwatcher, this challenge has been a fun way of experimenting with color theory, art style, and composition.
